I’m so very excited to share floatation therapy with you all. This project is near and dear to my heart. You’ve probably heard me talk about how “self-care is health care,” or “if you don’t take care of yourself, what do you have left to give to others?” Floating is the ultimate tool for recovery, relaxation, and healing. In order to fully be present in our lives, we must first learn to be present with ourselves. Both bodywork and floatation therapy give us the chance to reconnect with ourselves, our body, and our environment. I look forward to the day when you can get a massage or acupuncture session and then rest in a float tank, or vice versa, relax in a float tank and have the best massage or acupuncture session of your life!
I’m am in the process of choosing an architect and moving forward with the design of the space. The building I’m interested in is 4 blocks from my office on Broadway. It’s spacious, has high ceilings, and has been empty for the past 5 years. The owner and I have been talking and he and I both agree that this is a great location for Float North. Once I secure the funding we will move forward with the lease documents. Until then, nothing is written in stone. The process of selecting a space and building it out is new to me and I’m learning at every turn. I’m excited to share my adventure with you all!
Thank you for continuing to be a patron of Soaring Dragon Massage while Float North gets off the ground. I am honored to be part of your self-care routine.
